Introduction to Combined Graduate Preliminary Exam
Prelim examination for combined Graduate is conducted by the SSC (Staff Selection Commission). The exam is conducted for selection of candidates for the main examination for the recruitments of following:
•Sub inspectors in CBI
•Sub Inspectors of police in central Police organization includes CENTRAL INDUSTRIAL SECURITY FORCE (CISF), INDO TIBETAN BORDER POLICE FOREC (ITBP), BORDER SEQURITY FORCE (BSF), and CENTRAL RESIVERD POLICE FORCE (CRPF)
•For the services/offices for assistants grade like AFHQ css, Posts in research designs and standards organization, railway board, IFS
•Junior Accountants, Auditors, Divisional Accountants
SSC conducts this exam once a year in the month of July. However the main exam is conducted in the months of October and December. You can get the allocation from for the examination from newspaper Employment News. The newspaper usually publishes the form in the first week of April. However the last date to submit the application form duly filled is in last week of April.
Eligibility for the Combined Graduate Preliminary Exam:
Age: The age limit for varies for the kind of post you are applying which is given below:
•Candidates age must be between 20 to 27 for Assistant Grade & Sis,
•18 to 27 for Inspectors of CE/IT & Div. Acctts/Auditors/UDCs,
•20 to 25 years for SIs in CPOs on 1st August of the year of examination.
However the above mentioned age limit might be relaxed for candidates from backward classes like Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes or other such categories with respect to conditions notified by the Government of India.
Education: Candidate must have earned degree from well know acknowledged university or from the corresponding institution.
